A handful of local artists explore the theme of visual storytelling in both their own work and in collaboration with the students of Eagle’s Nest Primary. Tall Tales is multimedia group exhibition exploring the nature and power of storytelling in art, featuring a unique collection of young South African artists.
Storytelling is an integral part of human nature, a way for us to reflect on our experiences in order to reach a deeper understanding of who we are. Stories allow us to transcend the borders of our own existence, presenting us with a view of ourselves as part of a larger human experience. Artists will delve into their experiences of the stories that have influenced their creative journey as well as tell their own. In addition to these works, the artists will collaborate with the kids of Eagle’s Nest Ministries. A range of artworks will be created in which the artists tell a story with the young students of the organization.
